Ribeira
A couple of the projects I boarded at university were stop-motion. Pypah Santos' "Ribeira" was based on her home in Porto. I was working on "Wanderer" at the same time and both projects happened to have big fish.
Above are the final boards for the film, made using Toonboom. I hadn't boarded for stop-motion before and found I had to think about the limitations of the set, so worked closely with the set maker.
The final animatic for "Ribeira". The first few scenes in particular Pypah had a lot of directions for, wanting a distinct Portuguese feel. She made a presentation for me, with pictures of Portuguese fish stalls and elderly women.

Fernanda's room was the trickiest for perspective as it had a lot of items in a small space. I mocked up her room in Maya to help with that.
